I have worked on many different projects over my the past few years and here I talk about a few of them:
Grade Tracker - Moodle 1.9, OO PHP, CSS, HTML, JavaScript, AJAX, JQuery and SQL.
I designed and built a complete BTEC Grade Tracker for use in Moodle 1.9. It currently supports BTEC Level 2 and 3, Foundation Art and Design and HNC/HND. It will soon support BTEC Level 1, the C&Guild quals the college offers, Cache, Alevel and other qualifications.
I have built the grade tracker to allow the tracking of criteria, sub criteria and units. It allows the staff members to mark each individual criteria as a number of pre-set options (met, not met, work submitted etc). It calculates unit awards, predicted and final qualification awards and reports. It shows the tracker in a grid style by either showing a student and all of their units, or a unit and all of the students on that unit. I currently expanding the grid to allow a project view that will also link in to new 'assignment types' that I am writing. These assignment types will allow the staff to add assignments to a course that are linked to specific projects, units and criteria.
ILP - Moodle 1.9, PHP, CSS, HTML, SQL and Server linking.
I took the UCL ILP block and heavily modfied it. I have added Course Reports, Prior learning submision, which, using the ALPS system calculates target grades based on qualifications added to courses. It allows notes/concerns and file attachments to be added and displays attendance information. The learning technologies team have expanded the ILP to show BKSB diagnostic results and integrated the ILP with the grade tracker above.
Future work we are working on include Timetabling views for the students, a Parent Guardian portal and other cool stuff.
